It was really fun today to host KDHL's AM Minnesota program from the Minnesota Ag Expo in Mankato. I have to say a special thank you to the Minnesota Agriculture Water Resources Center for letting me take over their booth!

I had three guests that were all promoting corn and soybeans in a different way. On my right is Robert Moffitt with the American Lung Association of Minnesota. For more than 20 years the American Lung Association of Minnesota has partnered with corn and soybean growers and promoted renewable fuels like ethanol and biodiesel. Burning ethanol and biodiesel has greatly improved our air quality in Minnesota.

On my far left is Mark Weber, who is the director of the Northern Crops Institute. The Northern Crops Institute promotes the crops grown in Minnesota, Montana and North and South Dakota. The Northern Crops Institute works with foreign buyers of our commodities and tries to develop a market for them. They also try and educate foreign buyers about importing renewable fuels. On my left is Matt Braun, a corn and soybean farmer from Dakota County. Matt has taken on the social media role for the Dakota Rice Corn and Soybean Growers. Matt has connected with many consumers that want to meet a farmer and learn about how their food is produced.
