The Faribault and Albert Lea boys hockey teams were tied at two goals apiece in the third period when the Tigers scored three unanswered goals to win.

Albert Lea got the first goal of the game and Faribault's Brett Vogelsberg tied the game with a second period goal at the Faribault Ice Arena. The Falcons' other goal would also be an answer to a Albert Lea tally.

Dylan O'Neil received assists from Connor Lipinski and Ryan Teske.

Faribault falls to 2-12 in the conference and 5-14 overall while Albert Lea improved to 5-11 in the Big Nine and 5-13 overall.

In other conference games, Rochester John Marshall remained unbeaten in the league with a 8-3 win over Austin in Spam country. Owatonna is still in the conference title hunt after a 6-0 win over Winona in Winhawk country and Red Wing skated past Mankato West 5-3.
