The annual Agronomy Field Tour at the Southern Research and Outreach Center at Waseca will be next Tuesday June 20, 2017. The tour is always related to corn and soybean production with emphasis on specific issues that corn and soybean producers have faced that particular year. They sure will have a lot to talk about this year! Normally all the sessions are in the field (weather permitting) but this year the first session will be in the conference center. Extension educator David Bau will talk about the economic outlook for corn and soybean producers. Then the tour will ride the wagons to the plots.

Other topics and speakers include: Weed Control in Corn and Soybeans presented by Tom Hoverstad scientist at the Southern research and Outreach Center, How to Manage Urea and Other Forms of Nitrogen with Fabian Fernandez Soil Scientist at the University of Minnesota, Soybean Production Issues with Seth Naeve Agronomist at the University of Minnesota, Corn Production Issues with Jeff Coulter agronomist at the University of Minnesota. Registration begins at 8:00 am and the program at 8:30. The cost is $35 and you do not have to preregister.
