Agriculture Hall of Fame at Rice County Fair

I hope a lot of people will come to celebrate Agriculture Wednesday morning at the Rice County Fair. This is the 11th annual Best of the Best Rice County Agriculture Hall of Fame Program at the Rice County Fair. The celebration begins with a free breakfast that will be served in the Beer Garden from 7:00 to about 9:00 am. The program will begin about 9:20. Thank you to the Rice County Farm Bureau and commodity groups for serving the free breakfast.

The Rice County Agriculture Hall of Fame is sponsored by the Rice County Fair, Faribault Chamber of Commerce Ag Business Committee and the Nerstrand  Agri Center. Doug Gilbertson owner of the Nerstrand Agri Center covers the cost of the plaques and pictures of the Hall of Fame recipients. The pictures are on permanent display in the Extension Office on the Fairgrounds. In addition The Rice County farm Family of the year will be recognized, Conservation Awards, Century Farms and one Sesquicentennial Farm. Everyone is welcome!
