When you are a farmer you always watch the weather. If rain is in the forecast in three days, you push really hard to get as much field work done as possible. You figure you can get caught up on sleep when it rains. I have also seen it rain when there was no rain in the forecast. It would be so nice to have a weather forecast that would be 100 percent accurate. Well, actually there is an animal that is more accurate than the weather man. It is called a Norwegian Barometer, or a cow. Being more specific, a cow's tail. Here are eight signs you can use to predict the weather accurately!

It the tail is wet, rain.

If the tail is dry, no rain.

If the tail has a shadow, sunny.

If the tail is stiff frost.

If the tail is white, snow.

If the tail is invisible, night.

If the tail is waving, windy.

If the tail is up, LOOK OUT!

For those who have experience with cattle, you know what is about to happen when the cow raises its tail. If you don't know, I challenge you to ask a farmer that has raised cattle.
