The Minnesota Agriculture Water Resource Center (MAWRC) along with the Mosaic Company, Environmental Tillage Systems, The Fertilizer Institute and other industry leaders will be hosting a free 4R Technology Review Field Day on Tuesday July 24, 2018. The event will be held at Farmamerica located just west of Waseca. Registration will be at 8:30, the program begins at 9:00 am and wraps up at 3:00 pm. Pre-registration is appreciated but not required. You can find a link to pre-register at the MAWRC web site.

Some of the speakers include Matt Helmers, Iowa State University; Jason Leary; Crystal Valley Coop; Paul Meints, Minnesota Corn Growers; Jeff Huelsnitz Pioneer Seed and Precision Planting, Kevin Kruize, Central Farm Service; Alan Kraus, Cannon River Watershed Partnership; and Adam Herges, Mosaic. There will be continuing education credits available for certified crop advisors. By the way a free lunch will be provided.

Remember the 4R's refer to nutrient management. They include: the Right Amount, Right Time, Right Place and Right Form. Managing nutrients following the 4R's not only allow farmers to be more efficient and profitable but also more environmentally friendly.
