The 47th Annual Crop Production Field Day will be held Thursday morning at the Kuiter Family farm just south of Clarks Grove Thursday morning. Take the Clarks Grove exit from Interstate 35 and go south 1/4 mile on County Highway 45. Registration is at 9:30 the program start at 10:am and wraps up with lunch. You do not have to pre-register and there is no charge. The program offers research based management strategies that you can use on your farm. It is hosted by the University of Minnesota Extension Service, Riverland Farm Business Management Program and the Kuiter family.

Topics include How/when herbicide labels mess with your plan A presented by Extension Educator Lisa Behnken, Lessons learned from 12 site-years of variable nitrogen research presented by Extension Educator Brad Carlson, Temperature inversions in Minnesota: Why should we care, presented by Extension Educator Dave Nicoli, Waterhemp control: Thinking outside the box by Extension Educator Ryan Miller, Managing Risk with cover crops by Extension Educator Liz Stahl and finally Corn and Soybean outlook: rents and land values by Extension Educator David Bau.
