This afternoon I was out at the Rice County Fair and I saw the Hanson family from Morristown getting lunch at the Cardinal Café. How is this for the whole family being involved in 4-H? I thought it was neat that the whole family had green 4-H T-shirts on. It was entry day and here was the whole family, mom and dad included, helping their children get their projects entered at the fair.

It is a good thing for mom, dad and children to be involved in all kinds of activities - sports, music, drama, and community service organizations. Many times in the evening mom, dad and the kids are all going in  different directions. What is so unique about 4-H is that the whole family is going in the same direction, to a 4-H activity. The 4-H program is run and overseen by the University of Minnesota Extension Service.
