My 1999 Monte Carlo turned over 300,000 miles this afternoon on the way out to the farm! I took the back roads to Morristown, Waseca and then the "snake trail" out to the farm. Normally I take Interstate 35 to Hope, the back roads to New Richland and then through Matawan. However, this being Labor Day and Interstate 35 down to a single lane through Owatonna, I thought it would be faster to avoid Interstate 35 and head through Waseca instead.

Watching the odometer, I knew I would be close to Waseca when I hit 300,000. Actually I was on the north edge of Waseca and I pulled off on a side road with very little traffic. I wanted to stop and take a picture with exactly 300,000 miles. The Monte Carlo is still running and driving great after I put on two new tires and a stabilizer bar. I have never had a car with this many miles on it. How long will it go? I guess I will find out!
