With harvest and tillage pretty well wrapped up the busy winter meeting season has arrived! The Riverland Community College Farm Business Management Program along with Bremer Bank will be sponsoring the annual Corn and Soybean Management meeting on Thursday December 7, 2017 at the Eagles Club in Rochester located at 917 15th Avenue SE. That is just North of US Highway 14 in Rochester next to Cub Foods. Registration is from 8:30 to 9:00 AM. The program runs until 3:30 pm.

Topics and speakers include Grain marketing Tools and Strategies presented by Lou Kuhlman with Advanced Trading. Minnesota Beginning Farmer Tax Credit with Ryan Roles from the Minnesota Department of Agriculture. Simple Ways to Improve Return on Investment with Josh Shofner From DuPont Pioneer and Income tax Strategies presented by Rob Holcomb with the University of Minnesota Extension Service.

The cost of the program is $10 per person if you are a member of the Riverland Farm Business Management program and $15 for non-members. This is another one of the meetings I have attended in the past and it is always very informative. Maybe even more this year with low commodity prices!
