The 2014 Rice County Fair Queen was crowned during a pageant Tuesday on the Bruce Sellner Memorial Midway Stage.  18 year old Carrie Conrad is the daughter of Joe and Kathy Conrad of Faribault.  The 2014 Faribault High School graduate was valedictorian of her class and will study accounting at the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management.  Her First Attendant is 17 year old Breannca Bussert of Faribault, the daughter of William and Mary Bussert.  The 2014 Faribault High School graduate plans to attend the University of Minnesota and major in animal science/ pre-veterinary medicine and the Second Attendant was 17 year old Kelsey Westad of Faribault, the daughter of Ed and Jody Westad. Kelsey will be a senior this fall at FHS and her future college plans are a science field, possibly a pharmacist.  Westad was also chose Miss Congeniality by her fellow contestants.  Six young women competed this year and all were from Faribault.  It was fun emceeing the event again.  The ladies are always a bit nervous and any one of these young women would've done a great job representing the Rice County Fair.
